QuillCue is developed by Parker Ortolani and is designed to work without collecting personal data. The app has no user accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking, telemetry, cloud sync, or developer-operated server. QuillCue itself does not send the developer your saved prompts, keyboard input, backup files, device information, usage activity, or identifiers. During TestFlight testing, Apple may separately provide limited tester, device, usage, crash, and feedback information as described below. The developer may also receive information you voluntarily send when requesting support.
Your prompt titles, prompt text, categories, favorites, keyboard-availability choices, appearance preferences, and other settings are stored locally on your device. QuillCue may also save an unfinished prompt draft locally so it can be recovered if editing is interrupted; a recovered draft remains until you save or discard it. QuillCue does not use CloudKit or provide cloud sync. Depending on your device settings, Apple-managed device backups may include QuillCue’s local app data. QuillCue and the developer cannot access those backups.
The QuillCue keyboard does not request Full Access and does not use the network. Only prompts that you choose to make available in the keyboard are copied to a protected local App Group container shared by the QuillCue app and its keyboard extension. The keyboard reads this local prompt snapshot and inserts only the prompt you tap. It does not read, collect, or store surrounding text in the document where you are typing. Text inserted through the keyboard is handled by the app containing that text field. QuillCue and the developer do not receive a copy. Review the destination app’s privacy practices before inserting confidential, personal, or sensitive information.
QuillCue lets you copy prompt text to the system clipboard or share it using Apple's system share interface. These actions occur only when you choose them. Copied prompt text is marked as local to the device so it is not eligible for Universal Clipboard. It remains on the clipboard until it is replaced or cleared by iOS or another app. Content shared through the system interface is provided only to the destination you select. Apple and any selected destination or service may process the content under their own privacy policies. QuillCue and the developer do not receive a copy.
QuillCue can create a readable JSON backup containing your complete prompt library, including prompts that are not available in the keyboard. Creating a backup does not automatically upload it. You choose whether and where to save or share it using Apple’s system share interface. Apple and any destination or service you select may process the file under their own privacy policies. Backup copies remain at the destination until you or that service removes them. Backup restoration reads only the QuillCue JSON backup file that you select through Apple’s document picker. Temporary export files are created in a protected local temporary directory. QuillCue attempts to remove temporary export directories after they are more than 24 hours old, although a temporary copy may remain on the device until cleanup succeeds.
QuillCue contains no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, networking, or archive-processing SDKs. QuillCue does not automatically share data with the developer or third parties. User-directed keyboard insertion, copying, sharing, and backup actions are described above. Apple may separately process information through iOS, device backup services, the App Store, or TestFlight under Apple’s own policies. QuillCue does not independently collect information processed by those services. During TestFlight beta testing, Apple may make limited tester, diagnostic, and feedback information available to the developer as described below.
Saved prompts remain on your device until you delete them. You can disable a prompt’s keyboard availability at any time, which removes it from the keyboard snapshot when that snapshot is refreshed. Deleting a prompt removes it from the QuillCue library and local keyboard snapshot. Saving or discarding a recovered draft removes that draft file. Deleting QuillCue removes its locally stored app data, subject to iOS and Apple-managed backup and restoration behavior. Files you previously exported or backed up are separate copies and must be deleted from their saved destinations separately. QuillCue does not maintain a server-side copy of your saved library. Information you provide through support or that Apple makes available through TestFlight is handled as described in “TestFlight beta testing and support.” QuillCue is not directed to children and is not offered in Apple’s Kids category. The app does not automatically transmit personal information to the developer. Information provided through support or made available through TestFlight is handled as described in “TestFlight beta testing and support.” If QuillCue’s privacy practices materially change, this policy and the privacy information available inside the app will be updated, including the effective date.
TestFlight beta testing and support
While QuillCue is distributed through Apple’s TestFlight service, Apple may make certain beta-testing information available to the developer. Depending on how you joined the beta and whether you submit feedback, this may include your name or email address, installation status, device model, operating-system version, session and crash information, screenshots, comments, and crash reports. The developer uses this information only to administer the beta, respond to feedback, diagnose problems, and improve QuillCue. TestFlight information is collected and processed through Apple’s service under Apple’s policies. Apple controls its retention within TestFlight. Any feedback or diagnostic information the developer receives or downloads is retained only as reasonably necessary to administer the beta, respond to feedback, diagnose problems, and improve QuillCue. If you contact the developer by email, the developer receives your email address, message, and any attachments or other information you choose to provide. This information is used only to respond, provide support, and improve QuillCue. Messages are processed through the developer’s email provider and retained only as reasonably necessary for those purposes, unless you request deletion. To request deletion of support messages or beta feedback controlled by the developer, contact parker.appfeedback@gmail.com. This includes copies retained by the developer and feedback that the developer can delete using App Store Connect’s available controls. Apple manages any information it retains separately under its own policies.
